Media Arts & Design

Step into the spotlight at MCCTC with the Media Arts & Design Program—the most exciting creative program in the region and the first of its kind! This all-new experience blends graphic design, fine art, digital media, marketing, filmmaking, podcasting, and live TV broadcasting into one powerful, hands-on program.

Co-taught by two industry-trained instructors, students get to rotate through multiple creative courses, try everything, and work on real projects from day one—designing logos, creating
artwork, producing documentaries, editing podcasts, running a studio, and even helping produce live broadcasts.

By the time they graduate, students walk away with a professional portfolio, industry certifications, and real-world experience that launches them into college programs or creative
careers.

How the Program Works

Junior Year

Students rotate through courses taught by both instructors, learning the foundations of:
● Graphic design & fine art
● Branding & composition
● Audio production & podcasting
● Basic video production & storytelling

This year is all about exploring interests, building skills, and finding your creative strengths.

Senior Year

Students choose their path:
Fine Arts & Design Track – For students who want to focus on fine art, graphic design, digital
art, illustration, or branding.
Media Production & Broadcast Track – For students who want to produce videos, become a
journalist, produce podcasts, create content, run live broadcasts, film documentaries, or work
behind the camera.

While each track goes deep into its specialty, both groups still collaborate on big projects, just
like real creative studios and production teams.

Why This Dual Model Gives You an Edge

This program gives students the best of both worlds—a creative art school and a media production studio all in one. Students learn design, filmmaking, advertising, writing, and broadcasting in a modern, tech-forward environment that includes AI-powered creative tools
and opportunities for live TV-style production.

Media Arts & Design students graduate:
● Future-ready
● Industry-aligned
● Highly skilled
● With a portfolio that stands out

Whether you want to work in media, art, marketing, animation, broadcast, or design—this program opens doors.
